Spring cleanup success at Rock Hill, Franklin Park. Jon Ostby donated chipper, truck and his time and deserves big thanks. Mary and Tom did Rock Hill, while Sheryl Shumsky, and Don and Donna did Franklin Park.
Rock Hill Discussion:
John Ivary said Triad Electric was to put in the lampost. There will be signs in soon and also logs to divide parking space. While it is "open space" now our goal is to see it eventually become a "park".
Finances $487.62 in accout with $100.00 set aside for newsletters, leaving $387. 62 in general account.
Donna Grasdock elected Secretary, since Lynne Torno has moved.
Rock Hill Discussion:
Michael Chiavario discussed transition of the hill, and future ideas. Baskbetball Court would be costly, but we need to get one approved by the City and cement work would be at cost only. Michael Hillis proposed $100.00 for hoop out of general fund and remainder to be raised. Motion passed.
Location discussed next: Lower location preferred - alley & hillside location - Michael will ask the Parks Dept. to level off the appropriate secion and will also talk to neighbors. If he sees a problem develop he will ask for another meeting to discuss situation.
Timeline also discussed. Possibly end of summer.
Summer Get Together: Block Party: North vs. South
Ideas were discussed, and Donna and Tom will work on this, it would be well publicised and a potluck.
Donna would ask police if we could get DARE van or bring information about BLOCKWATCH PROGRAM, and we would formally invite the officer(s) assigned to our neighborhood.
Idea to formerlyn honor Lynn an Dennis at Party discussed and gift motion passed.
Other Business:
Pellet/ BeeBee Gun incident Michael Hillis encountered was discussed.
